Between February and March 2022, Justyna Kowalczyk-Kądziela carried out her first fieldwork in Mexico. She took the opportunity to travel through the Mixteca Alta region, the place of origin of the codices she studies.
Justyna visited Tlaxiaco, Yanhuitlán, Tilantongo and many other towns, as well as the archaeological sites of Monte Negro, Mitla and Monte Albán.
Additionally, the time spent in Mexico was for her an opportunity to conduct library and museum queries, and to hold several scientific consultations.
